Fourth of July

The 4th of July is the funnest day of the year for my family. We have gotten together at my sisters house for over 30 years. We started out playing volleyball when we were younger but now as we have gotten older our children are now the ones playing. My brother-in-law always makes the same oysters on the half shell over the barbecue pit and also cooks chicken and salmon. Everyone brings some kind of a side dish and or a dessert. While the kids light off the small fireworks out in the cow pasture for what seems hours, we eat and eat and eat till we are so stuffed we can hardly move. Then just as it starts to get dark we send out the older kids, ones that aren't going to blow themselves up, to set off the big bang ones. There seems to be someone new or someone we haven't seen in years. I totally look forward to it all year long.

Yoga class is a community

Yoga tends to draw people who are stressed out and need to find the time for themselves.Together people practicing yoa tend to help each other to destress with encouriging them to learn the breathing techniques and correct postures. Most everyone in the class is looking for relaxation and away to unwind from the pressures of everyday life. Everyone seems to have something different happening in thier lives so at times it seems as if we are not on the same page.

I myself have so much going on all of the time that I truely look forward to the hour I spend in class. My daughter and I are in the class together so we are able to give each other personal support because we are very aware of each others needs and moods. Everyone in class seem to make an effort to help each other through the stretches and any emotional strees we are going through. I too have given others in the class support and encourgement. While the turmoil outside of the classroom continues it feels like a safe haven inside the classroom. Somewhere you feel able to lay on your mat and not be jugded.

What's in my wallet?

To tell you the truth I don't have very much in my wallet. If someone found my wallet they would see I carry no cash. I am very wary of loosing my wallet so I don't carry cash in it. I have credit cards store cards and a few rewards cards. Someone might think I have kids, or after they see my drivers licence, grand kids. I have no purse so I essentially just have the essentials with me. people might think I keep receipts really well, but really I am too lazy to clean them out of my wallet. If my wallet was found someone would think I shop a lot, they would be right.

I think looking in my wallet someone wouldn't know that I am really busy. I have a son at home and a husband. I take 3 classes at Everett CC . I have 5 dogs and a cat that seem to think I should be at their bark and meow. So looking inside my wallet I think you would see a very disorganized person when in reality I love order.
